It’s been 5 days since we launched our brand new eBook Transcending Travel – a Guide to Captivating Travel Photography and I’ve had a number of questions from readers about how it is selling and asking for clarification about the launch week bonuses that we’re offering – so I thought I’d give a bit of an update today.

First an update on sales and feedback from readers

2000+ copies sold – as I write this I see that there have been 2239 copies of the eBook sold. This puts the eBook into ‘best seller’ status – as popular as any that we’ve previously released. What excites me even more is that we’ve only been asked for refunds twice in all those sales (which of course we honored.
Great Reviews – the feedback on the eBook has been very positive. I’ve added a few bits of reader feedback to the Transcending Travel – a Guide to Captivating Travel Photography page but what you see there is just scratching the surface. Most common in the feedback is how beautiful it is, how great the images are and how clear Mitchell’s teaching is. Also interesting is how many people have fed back that it’s helping not only their Travel Photography but photography in general.

Launch Week Specials – Under 4 Days To Go

As part of the launch of Transcending Travel we’re offering a series of bonuses. These run out at midnight on this coming Friday (11th June) Eastern Standard Time in the USA (Friday midnight in New York, Saturday 2pm in Melbourne, 8.30am Saturday in New Delhi and 4am Saturday in London).

Frequently Asked Questions

A number of questions have been asked quite a few times – so I thought I’d answer them publicly here:

Is it available as a hard cover book? – at this time it is only an eBook. We are open to working with publishers on this but have no immediate plans to release it as anything other than an eBook.
Can it be read on an iPad/Kindle? – the eBook is in a PDF format and it’s primarily been designed with the latest version of Adobe Reader in mind. As a result it is at its best on a PC or Mac. It is possible to view it on an iPad but you’ll need to get a PDF reading App to do so. Quite a few of our readers are reporting that it looks quite good on the ‘Good Reader’ app. Kindles can read PDFs but you certainly won’t get the full impact of the design and images on it as you’re viewing in black and white.
Can I pay in some other way? – the purchasing process is handled through PayPal. They accept payment either by a PayPal account or via Credit Card. We have heard from a handful of readers that PayPal are not accepting their particular card. We’ve passed this onto PayPal but it seems that they are a little fussy when it comes to security on that front – we apologise but this is the only system we have at this point.
Where is the download delivered to? – a small number of buyers have misplaced or not seen the download details. At the end of payment you’re taken to a screen where you are given a link to ‘complete the process’. You need to click this to be taken to a download page. You’ll also be emailed (at your PayPal email address) with a link to this page. Some find this email filtered into their spam filters so if you’re missing it look there. If you still can’t find it – just shoot us an email via our contact form here at dPS and we’ll get it to you.
